With a Sunset League showdown looming against Edison on Oct. 12, and a chance to see a possible playoff opponent, Los Alamitos Coach John Barnes was an interested observer Friday at the Servite-Edison game, which Servite won, 6-0.
But before the game, Barnes was simply amazed that Edison quarterback Nick Crissman was going to play only 17 days after having his appendix removed.
‘I got a kid in my program who’s been out six weeks,’ he said.
