Football: Tesoro goes up 14-0

Tesoro has dominated in the early going of its Pac-5 Division semifinal against Orange Lutheran, scoring on both of its drives to take a 14-0 lead late in the first quarter.

Fullback Isaac Tago scored on a two-yard run to cap the Titans’ second drive.

Lutheran had converted a fake punt for a first down on its second drive when punter Parker Flynn eluded several would-be tacklers, but the Lancers fumbled on their next play and Tesoro recovered at the Lutheran 46-yard line.

Tago scored eight plays later. Tesoro’s Zach Mitchell has 54 yards and a touchdown in only three carries.
