Baseball: Ex-Arleta coach takes over at new school

Edgar Maldonado resigned at the end of last season after starting the baseball program at Arleta and guiding the team to four league championships in five years. He took a break over the summer but now is ready to return to coaching.

He has been hired at the newly opened LAUSD high school in San Fernando that has a lighted baseball diamond.
