The EEC settled a steel trade dispute with the U.S.

Willy Helin, a spokesman for the Common Market’s industry commissioner, told reporters the agreement limits European exports of steel tubes and pipes to 7.6% of the U.S. market this year and next. That is a bigger share than agreed to for 1984 but far below the more than 14% share the Europeans actually enjoyed last year.
