Lesley Ann Warren, whose roles have ranged from Cinderella to a gangster’s moll in “Victor/Victoria,” takes on a rags-to-riches part in “Evergreen” a six-hour miniseries airing this week on NBC.
Based on Belva Plain’s novel, “Evergreen” is the story of a Jewish girl from Poland who comes to America at the turn of the century and rises from a household maid to a wealthy matriarch. The series airs Sunday through Tuesday, from 9 to 11 p.m. each night on Channels 4, 36 and 39.
The cast includes Armand Assante, Ian McShane, Brian Dennehy, Betty Buckley and Robert Vaughn. Filming was done in Toronto and Israel.
