Woman Manager of Restaurant Slain by Robber

The woman manager of a fast-food restaurant in the Wilshire District was shot and killed in a robbery in the restaurant’s parking lot Friday night, police said.
The woman, who was manager of a Carl’s Jr. at 5th Street and Western Avenue, had left the restaurant and was believed to have been walking toward her car at about 7 p.m. when she was shot, police said.
The victim, whose name was not released, died almost immediately.
