San Francisco’s Office of Citizen Complaints has exonerated police in their arrests of porn film star Marilyn Chambers and San Francisco Chronicle columnist Warren Hinckle. Chambers was arrested Feb. 1 in a live performance at a San Francisco theater, during which she was accused of letting customers fondle her. Prostitution and lewdness charges filed against her were later dropped. Hinckle, who wrote columns criticizing Chambers’ arrest, was taken into custody Feb. 13 on outstanding warrants for an expired car registration and walking his dog without a leash. He paid fines on both.
