Collins Foods International Inc. reported a 16% increase in third-quarter earnings over the like period last year to a new record. Revenue for the third quarter was $114.7 million, up more than 16% from a year earlier. The Los Angeles-based company said each of its three major divisions, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Sizzler and Collins Foodservice, reported significant increases in revenue and profits. On a combined basis, their pre-tax earnings increased 52% versus a year ago.
