Sports Car Driver Dies After Crash

A Huntington Beach man was fatally injured early Thursday, when the sports car he was driving rear-ended a van on Pacific Coast Highway, police said.
Michael R. Burris, 25, died in Fountain Valley Community Hospital at 3:30 a.m., about 90 minutes after the accident, Police Sgt. Ed McErlain said.
He said Burris was traveling east when his Datsun 280Z struck the Toyota van at the Brookhurst Street intersection in Huntington Beach.
Neither of the two persons in the van was injured, McErlain said.
