U.S. Official Holds Talks in South Korea

SEOUL, South Korea — Michael H. Armacost, under secretary of state for political affairs, met Thursday with Foreign Minister Lee Won Kyung to discuss security and other bilateral matters.
South Korean officials said the one-hour meeting focused on President Chun Doo Hwan’s coming visit to the United States, the stalled inter-Korea dialogue and Armacost’s visit to China earlier this week.
