Ontario’s MonthLong Beer Drought Ends

TORONTO — Beer stores opened across Ontario on Monday, ending a monthlong drought for the province’s thirsty suds-lovers.
Ontario’s three biggest brewers and Brewers’ Warehousing Co., which operates the beer stores, ended a lockout of 3,600 workers after all but one of 12 union locals ratified a three-year contract.
The lockout, which cost millions of dollars in lost sales, was lifted at five of Ontario’s six breweries.
