Letters : Martinez on Bernson

Twice this month, March 11 and 28, columnist Al Martinez has attempted to wreak public scorn and defamation upon Councilman Hal Bernson. What pathetic scribblings these have been.
Martinez attributes all sorts of devious motives behind Bernson’s campaign to keep smut merchants from infesting our neighborhoods.
The fact is that, when pornographers are allowed in, the crime rate goes up and the property values hit the skids.
Bernson is charged with the duty of keeping our community safe and clean. It strikes me he is performing that task in an admirable fashion.
What puzzles me is what Martinez is trying to accomplish with his inane commentaries.
