Hydorn Leads Vista Over Laguna Hills

VISTA — Mike Hydorn’s single in the eighth inning Friday broke a 4-4 tie and gave Vista High School a 5-4 win over visiting Laguna Hills and a sweep of its doubleheader.
The Panthers defeated last season’s Southern Section 2-A champions in the first game, 6-2.
Vista catcher Matt Sprint drove in two runs, and Hydorn had two hits, scored twice and drove in a run in the opener. Hydorn added three RBIs in the second game.
The Panthers improved their record to 8-4.
