Miami Routs USC, 11-1, in Tournament Opener

OKLAHOMA CITY — Freshmen Mike Fiore and Frank Dominguez led a 10-hit attack and Dan Davies threw a two-hitter as No. 1-ranked Miami defeated USC, 11-1, in the opening game of the Sooner Shootout college baseball tournament Friday. The game was called in the seventh inning under the 10-run rule.
Fiore had two hits and four RBIs, and Dominguez hit a three-run homer in a four-run fifth inning for the Hurricanes.
