THEATER BOOM BOOM

Los Angeles is making much ado about nothing
Farewell! a long farewell to theater.
Theater has fallen, never to rise again.
For we, which now behold these present days.
Have eyes to wonder, but lack tongues to praise.
All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players.
Some have top billing; others lesser billing,
And oh? What fools we mortals be.
Television is alive and thriving.
Long live television.

Part II of Isenberg’s series will appear next Sunday.
