A former San Francisco Symphony flutist filed a $5-million suit against the guru leader of a San Rafael-based sect, alleging she was sexually abused, brainwashed and imprisoned during seven years as a disciple. Beverly O’Mahony, 35, estranged wife of one of guru Da Free John’s top aides, filed the suit in Marin County Superior Court. Defendants include the guru--previously known as Franklin Jones of New York--and the board of directors of the 13-year-old Johannine Daist Communion.
