It may be, as one of Shaw’s articles said, that readership of editorials is lower than for other news coverage, but I cite myself as an exception. Every morning I faithfully read The Times editorials to start out the day. It gets my blood boiling and my adrenalin flowing. And I usually send a few bucks to some worthy cause like the contras ‘ organization, Howard Jarvis, or a good conservative political action committee. So, you see, you do have an impact.
