It’s disappointing that the creators of CBS’ canceled “Otherworld” could not realize its potential as a unique departure from current prime-time fare. Despite the solid central cast, generally impressive settings and special effects, the persistent silliness, inept scripting and continued uncertainty about what it wanted to be kept “Otherworld” from being little more than a Saturday morning children’s adventure.
