Another week of “Puff the Magic Dragon,” “Shinbone Alley,” “Misty,” “The Camel Boy” and “Oliver and the Artful Dodger” prompts the question: Is all morning programming on commercial and on cable TV geared to children? Those insipid and poorly animated films, the stories about darling, precocious tots who behave like no children behave: solving mysteries, chasing crooks, exposing frauds and being surrounded by adults who talk like cartoon animals . . . yuk! There is no place an adult can turn to on TV for morning entertainment. I don’t mean “adults only” shows, but intelligent dramas, mysteries and old movies.
