Orange : Huntington Beach : Arts Board Applications Being Taken by Council

The City Council is accepting applications from residents to fill two vacancies on its Allied Arts Board.
The seven-member board reviews and recommends cultural events, said Walter Johnson, city library director.
Previously, the group has been instrumental in bringing a variety of musicals, dramas, photography exhibits and dance shows, he said.
Board members attend a three-hour meeting the second Monday of each month. Otherwise, the time commitment is minimal, Johnson said. “We are looking for anyone who is interested in the arts, any facet of it,” he said, but added that applicants with some training or other experience with the arts will be most desirable.
Applications may be picked up at City Hall or the central library, 7111 Talbert Ave.
