Jesse Jackson led several hundred persons in Plattsburg, Mo., on a peaceful march protesting the foreclosure sale of a farm home. The sale of the 700-acre farm, to Kearney Trust Co., proceeded without incident. On Sunday, Jackson addressed more than 2,000 at Kansas City’s Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, calling for urban blacks and farmers to unite to thwart the rising number of federal farm foreclosures.
