Point Loma Beats Crawford

SAN DIEGO — Pat Evenson’s single in the fifth inning broke a 3-3 tie as Point Loma defeated Crawford, 6-3, in a non-conference game Thursday at Crawford.
The Colts were leading, 3-1, going into the fourth inning, but a two-run home run by Kelly Schlager tied the game. Chris Reading (4-0) pitched a complete game for the Pointers, who are 8-2.
Scott Northeimer and Todd Armer had two hits and an RBI apiece for Crawford (4-9).
In other action:
Chula Vista 3, University City 2--The Spartans (5-8-1) erased a 2-0 deficit at Chula Vista with a three-run sixth inning. A single by Bob Bleisch, which brought home two runs, was the difference. Edgar Lim (1-0) was the winning pitcher for the Spartans.
