Kiefer’s One-Hitter Beats Rancho Alamitos

Junior right-hander Mark Kiefer pitched a one-hitter to lead Garden Grove High School to 6-0 win over Rancho Alamitos Thursday in a Garden Grove League game on the Argonauts’ field.
Kiefer struck out six, walked one and gave up only a second-inning single to Craig Paquette to help the Argonauts (4-2, 6-7) remain in a tie with Bolsa Grande for second place in the league standings behind La Quinta. Jerry Canada and Keith Mowdy had two hits each for Garden Grove.
