Plagued by competitive pricing pressures, increasing costs and the loss of a contract to supply auto air conditioners to Chrysler Corp., Wynn’s International Inc. of Fullerton posted first-quarter net earnings of $975,000, down 47% from the $1.8 million in profit posted for the first three months of 1984.
The company, which makes and markets automotive supplies and oil additives and operates a hardware wholesale chain, said sales for the quarter also fell, dropping slightly to $51.8 million from the $52.3 million reported a year earlier.
