The Region : Wally George Injured in Auto Accident

Television talk show host Wally George suffered a broken nose and wrist, facial cuts and torn ligaments when his car was rear-ended by a suspected drunk driver Monday evening on the transition road from the San Diego Freeway to the westbound Marina Freeway, authorities said. A passenger in George’s car, TV producer Merrie Pisano, suffered minor injuries. Both were treated and released at Daniel Freeman Hospital in Marina del Rey. Investigators said Brian Blakelock, 22, of Los Angeles was treated for minor injuries at the hospital and booked for investigation of drunk driving.
