Three UCLA professors have won Guggenheim fellowships for 1985: Andras Bodrogligeti, professor of Turkish and Iranian; Amos Funkenstein, history, and Maximillian Novak, English.
The three are among 270 scholars, scientists and artists who will receive grants totaling more than $5.4 million.
