State Senator Hurt in Car Crash

State Sen. Leroy Greene, a 23-year veteran of the Legislature, was injured early today when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel and his car rolled over twice on Interstate 80, the Highway Patrol said. Officers said Greene, 67, (D-Carmichael) was thrown through the windshield.
He was reported in stable condition at Sutter Davis Hospital, with contusions and abrasions but no internal injuries.
