HBC College Scholarships Now Available

Six scholarships of $500 and $1,000 will be awarded to second, third and fourth year college students who meet the scholarship criteria of the Home Builders Council, the educational arm of the Building Industry Assn. of Southern California.
According to HBC College Scholarship Committee co-chair, Jackie Hare of the Mission Viejo Co., the deadline for entry is May 15, 1985.
Area colleges participating in the program include Saddleback College, Orange Coast College, Cal State Fullerton, Golden West College and Cal State Long Beach.
In addition, students at seven area high schools also will be participating in the program. HBC’s High School Awareness Committee has scheduled one-hour presentations to include a slide show and open discussions regarding various opportunities within the building industry.
Participating high schools include: Huntington Beach High School, Savana High School, Gilbert High School, Edison High School, El Toro High School, El Camino High School and Estancia High School.
