TV Program to Debut:Brea residents will have their own source of information on city events with the television premiere of “Brea Beat.” Beginning Wednesday at 5 p.m., Brea residents can tune in to Channel 3 on Century Cable daily for several hours of listings that will include sports schedules, information about activities at the Civic Cultural Center and agendas for City Council and commission meetings, City Manager Ed Wohlenberg said. The rolling script also will include reports from city meetings, job announcements and roads to be closed because of repairs, he said. “We’re going to use (the program) to inform the public about happenings in Brea,” Wohlenberg said.
