Boytim, Young Win Tennis Event

FUJISAWA, Japan — Second-seeded John Boytim of the United States won the boys’ singles title, while Jennifer Young won the girls’ event in the JAL Cup international junior tennis tournament Sunday.
Boytim beat countryman Christopher Garnar, 7-6, 6-1, in the boys’ finals while Young defeated Japan’s Akiko Kijimuta, 6-0, 6-2.
