Ashton-Tate and Software AG Systems agreed to market a micro-to-mainframe link, called Natural/Connection Version 2, that allows for the direct exchange of data between microcomputers and mainframes, eliminating the need for an intermediate data base. The link will allow data to be directly transferred between Software AG’s ADABAS mainframe data base system and Ashton-Tate’s dBASE III and Framework. The two companies also agreed to jointly develop future products.
