Corky the killer whale is pregnant for the fifth time, and officials at Marineland in Rancho Palos Verdes say they will do everything they can to ensure the calf survives. The four calves she has delivered over eight years have died. The 8,000-pound mother is scheduled to give birth in six months, said spokeswoman Laurie Armstrong. Corky and the 14,000-pound father, Orky, are the only breeding killer whales in captivity, Armstrong said.
