Solidarity founder Lech Walesa was ordered to answer prosecutors’ questions in Gdansk about allegations that he conspired to disturb the peace by leading “a disbanded organization,” and aide said. However, the independent Polish unionist was not taken into custody or charged. Polish Premier Wojciech Jaruzelski, meanwhile, held four hours of talks with Roman Catholic Cardinal Jozef Glemp on worsening church-state relations. Jaruzelski urged Glemp to curb dissident priests.
