A public hearing on proposals to relocate the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District’s continuation high school will be held at 8 tonight at the Valmonte Administration Center, 3801 Via la Selva, Palos Verdes Estates. Residents are invited to comment on a draft environmental impact report prepared by the district’s consultant, Michael Brandman Associates of Costa Mesa.
The Brandman report generally concludes that no significant environmental problems would arise from permanently locating the school at either of two proposed sites: the former La Cresta Elementary School in Rolling Hills and the closed Margate Intermediate School in Palos Verdes Estates.
District trustees have set Sept. 9 as the deadline for a final decision on where to locate the continuation school, which has been operating in temporary quarters on the Rolling Hills High School campus.
