A man serving a 3 1/2-year sentence for armed robbery and grand theft escaped from the California Institution for Men in Chino, a prison spokesman said. Patrick David Ramirez, 29, was last seen when he was with a group of prisoners working near an irrigation ditch located beyond the facility’s main security fence, but within a less secure perimeter fence, according to spokesman Lt. Paul Washington.
