Local News in Brief : Hit-and-Run Driver Kills Chatsworth Man

A23-year-old Chatsworth man was killed and his passenger was seriously injured when a hit-and-run driver crashed into their car in Canoga Park, police said Thursday.
Tracy Bullard was pronounced dead at the scene and Jeffrey Stevens, 21, of Canoga Park was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where he was in serious condition with internal bleeding and broken legs, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Los Angeles police were searching for a 17-year-old Canoga Park youth who allegedly was driving the automobile that ran a red light at Valerio Street and Canoga Avenue at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, said Detective Frank Rodriguez. It his Bullard’s car broadside and then slammed into a parked auto, police said.
The driver ran away after the collision, Rodriguez said, but police traced the car to a Canoga Park address and questioned its owner, who said he had lent the car to the youth earlier that night.
