Statewide existing home sales rebounded in July.

The California Assn. of Realtors’ figures show existing single-family homes sold at an annually adjusted rate of 428,000 units in July--an 8.2% increase over June’s sales rate of 395,724 units and an 11.2% increase over the July, 1984, level of 384,000 units. The statewide median sales price for a home was $119,358 in July--a 3.8% jump from the June median price of $114,999. On a year-to-year basis, median sales across California were up 5.2% from the $113,469 posted in July, 1984.
