Huntington Beach : Hospital Again Offers Sports Injury Clinics

Free sports injury clinics will be held for the fourth consecutive year at Humana Hospital beginning today and each Saturday through Nov. 23.
The program will accent proper diet, exercises, stretching and care of athletic injuries, said Mark Aanonson, executive director of the hospital, located at 17772 Beach Blvd. Orthopedic surgeons will offer instructions on how to avoid serious injuries and will provide free diagnostic screenings.
The clinics are open to all athletes involved in organized sports groups such as Little League or AYSO soccer. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent and everyone must register by 10 a.m. The clinics are from 9 to 11 a.m.
