Spilled Tomatoes Block 3 I-5 Lanes in Burbank

Atruck loaded with tomatoes overturned Friday afternoon on the Golden State Freeway in Burbank, closing three of the four traffic lanes through the evening, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
The truck was traveling south near Alameda Avenue when it spilled its load of tomatoes at 5:52 p.m., Officer Robert Pike said. He said a cleanup crew hoped to have all the lanes open by midnight.
