Four Local Gymnasts Make U.S. Team

SALT LAKE CITY — Four Southern California Acro Team members were named to United States junior national gymnastics team after finishing in the individual top 10 of the Junior Elite Meet Friday night.
Dee Dee Foster of Huntington Beach won the competition for 14-year-olds with a two-day total of 73.26 points, while Jennifer Barton of Huntington Beach finished second with 71.86 points. Kristine Johnson of Pasadena finished sixth with 70.42 points and Amy Thorne of Huntington Beach was 10th with 68.75.
