Policies for Bus Transfers

We’d like to clarify some of the concerns expressed by Mary Priett in her letter “Taking the Bus Over County Line” (Sept. 8). Transfer agreements between the Orange County Transit District and the Southern California Rapid Transit District have not changed in several years.
Here’s how they work: Passengers who transfer between OCTD and RTD within Los Angeles County must pay separate fares on each bus. However, OCTD accepts RTD transfers within Orange County.
