OLYMPIA, Wash. — The state parole board on Wednesday set a 60-year minimum prison term for Kevin Coe, convicted of three rapes attributed to the Spokane “South Hill rapist.”
The South Hill rapist was blamed for more than 40 sexual assaults between 1978 and 1981.
Coe, who denies that he is the rapist, had originally been sentenced to 55 years plus life. Board Chairman Kit Bail said that Coe, 38, would be eligible for parole in 40 years.
