United Nations’ 40th Anniversary

On behalf of the several thousand members of the United Nations Associations throughout Southern California I would like to congratulate you and your colleagues for a timely and fair editorial birthday present (Oct. 24), “The U.N. at 40.”
There are truly so very many things that one might recall on such an occasion, and you offered a balanced selection of citations and alluded to others that merit further study. Those who are already informed about the U.N. owe you a real debt of gratitude, and those who have yet to encounter the facts about the U.N. are also indebted to your fine sense of journalism.
