A Thousand Oaks man was in critical condition Sunday from head injuries he suffered when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car on a Simi Valley street, police said.
The accident occurred Saturday at Royal Avenue and Erringer Road, Simi Valley Police Sgt. Ken Tacke said. The motorcyclist was identified as Patrick Harrington, 25, of Thousand Oaks. The driver of the car, William Wheat, 67, also of Thousand Oaks, was not cited, police said. Wheat was uninjured.
Harrington was taken to Simi Valley Adventist Hospital. Tacke said Harrington received massive head injuries in the accident, even though he was wearing a helmet.
