Gifts for Abused Children: The more than 50 stations of the Orange County Fire Department will be drop-off points for “Operation Santa Claus,” a project sponsored by the county Social Services Agency to provide gifts to abused and neglected children and their families. Last year, more than 2,600 children, living with their own families or in foster homes, received the gifts. Those interested in donating toys or gifts can drop the items off at any county fire station before Dec. 23. For information, call (714) 834-4703.
