FOLSOM, Calif. — A 32-year-old inmate who was stabbed to death in a Folsom Prison shower is the prison’s 181st stabbing victim of the year, officials said.
Deputy Warden Bob Briggs said Sunday that the latest victim was Michael Gehman, who was committed in 1982 after being convicted of first-degree burglary in Sacramento County.
Gehman was found Saturday night by guards in a prison shower area. He had stab wounds in the chest and back and was pronounced dead at the prison infirmary.
Prison officials said they had no suspects in the case.
Briggs said five of the 181 prisoners stabbed this year have died.
