Software Firm Leases Torrance Office Building

Ashton-Tate, a leading computer software producer currently based in Culver City, has signed a lease for the Andrex Building, 20101 Hamilton Ave., Torrance, and plans to occupy the building Friday.
The Klabin Co. of Inglewood represented Ashton-Tate in the lease transaction for the 123,870-square-foot building, while Coldwell Banker represented Andrex Development, Los Angeles, the owner. The consideration was more than $20 million.
The building will serve as Ashton-Tate’s headquarters, with 450 employees at the Torrance location. The three-story building was designed by William L. Pereira Associates.
