All those self-admitted years of snorting cocaine must have damaged Richard Page’s memory (“Motley Crue--Taking a Walk on the Quiet Side?,” by Steve Pond, Nov. 24).
As producer on both the Motley Crue and Twisted Sister sessions to which he refers, I would like to clarify a couple of points:
(1) There are no “eight-letter obscenities” on the Motley Crue record and (2) the Twisted Sisters song “Burn in Hell” is, in simple fact, an honest fire-and-brimstone sermon about the wages of sin, and not an invitation to boogie with Satan.
I’m sure his friends and colleagues would love to join Richard in celebrating his newly found professional and personal health; but, regretfully, after seeing him callously slag everyone he mentions in this interview (Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Chicago, Peter McIan, CBS and Capitol), he seems to be able to enjoy his current success and self-satisfaction only at the expense of others.
