Charles W. Bachman, former coach at Michigan State and friend of such football immortals as George Halas and Knute Rockne, died in Florida at the age of 93, relatives reported.
Bachman coached at Michigan State from 1933 until retiring from the head coach’s job in 1946, and his record with the Big Ten school was 70-34-10.
