Fullerton : Savings & Loan Robber Had a Familiar Look
- Share via
A man with a somewhat familiar look walked into a Home Federal Savings & Loan office in the 3300 block of Yorba Linda Boulevard on Wednesday morning, handed a teller a holdup note and ran out with an undisclosed amount of cash from the teller’s drawer, police reported.
According to officers, a man of similar description held up the same branch only eight days earlier, but they said they were not certain it was the same robber. In neither case was a weapon shown.
Police described the man as white, about 20 years old, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, with reddish-blond wavy hair. He wore mirrored sunglasses, a red wool shirt and jeans, they said.
Later in the day, a Home Savings & Loan branch at Brookhurst Street and Chapman Avenue in Garden Grove was held up in similar fashion by a man in his 20s, but an FBI spokesman said investigators did not think it was done by the Fullerton robber.
